UFC 100 Results

This card definitely lived up to the hype which is quite rare for a UFC Card. Add to the fact that I went two out of three with my prediction makes it even more satisfying. Anyways, here are the results from the main fights
Dan Henderson vs. Mike Bisping:
Bisping talked a good game but that was it, talk. He could’ve given Henderson some trouble with his speed but his lack of power and the fact that he would always circle right into Henderson’s right hand sealed his fate as Henderson caught him flush on the chin in the second round. Dan also smacked Bisping in the face one more time after he was knocked out, brutal. Dan Henderson wins by knockout in Round 2 (official time 3:20)
George St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves:
GSP utterly dominated the very game Brazilian from start to finish. Took him down whenever he felt like it and rarely gave Alves the opportunity to stand with him. You cannot fault Alves for not trying because he kept on coming until the final bell. He scrambled like crazy and even had GSP on the ground for quite some time in the third round. But as expected, GSP’s wrestling was just too much even for the much bigger Alves. GSP wins by unanimous decision (total shutout)
Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir:
Just like what I said the other day, the first match wouldn’t mean anything at all. Frank came in very relaxed and felt that he could just put Lesnar in the same predicament as their first meeting. And boy was he wrong! Brock was very composed on the ground as he prevented Mir from mounting any kind of attack. In the first round, Lesnar controlled Mir’s neck and just pummeled him until the end of the round. The second round was not that different. Mir hit Brock with a couple of right hands but made a mistake by doing the flying knee when Lesnar went for the single leg takedown. Lesnar went on to control Mir’s left wrist that left him defenseless, he then pummeled away as the official stops the bout. Brock Lesnar wins by knockout (stoppage) at 1:48 mark of round two.
