With Clay Guida’s recent loss to Kenny Florian, it became apparent that he’s no more than a gatekeeper in the lightweight division. At the same time, I don’t think we need to worry about Guida being cut from the UFC since he’s one of the most exciting fighters in and out of the UFC.

Frank Trigg’s return to UFC didn’t turn out to be a pleasant one for him as Josh Koscheck proved too much for him. Will he still get an opportunity at the title after this loss? Perhaps not, but I would still love to see him atleast one more time. I think he deserves another chance.

Fil-am sensation Brandon Vera outclassed Krzyzstof Soszynsky last Saturday. I’m not sure though if he did enough to get in the mix in the very deep 205 lb. division.
