A few hours from now, the co-main event of the night which is Huerta and Maynard will resolve the issue of perhaps who the number one contender for the lightweight title really is. Though the UFC could find itself in the tight spot if Huerta wins since he seems hell bent on leaving the UFC for the time being after this fight, mmy prediction is Maynard will win this one in a tightly contested unanimous decision.
Here’s another look at these two warriors.

UFC seems to be taking a bit of a risk in promoting Roger Huerta’s (20-2) last fight in his contract against undefeated Gray Maynard (7-0) that will take place in UFC Fight Night on September 16. Why? Well, as good as Maynard is, Huerta is someone that has name recognition and has a following and if he wins (which is a strong possibility) and walks away from the fight game (more of a certainty at this point) for Hollywood, the UFC will be left with an empty bag.
